lyrics

Don't hold back

The edges look like me
Light bending colors bleed
A view askew so as not to allow
Another shade but I paint how
I see it not so different
I'm not innocent just dissonant

I spend half my time in pursuit of the other half
I've drowned several times in defense of my ignorance
and hope isn't gleaming in my eyes
for what we've become is not something to boast

we don't believe in anything that won't make a difference
we don't belong in this makeshift place of pain

what if our heroes died
and just became their graves
when we visit they'd hear what we say

You were the one to waste it
Change is failing, i am welcoming
Was I dreaming this demise?
This end of times at least for my eyes

I can reach right into those eyes
and draw the shades
phrase an empty innuendo back to back
with others made
and carefully sipping truth like wine
you say "lets have this all the time"
and there's not even a question
in fact, it's never spoke of again

If I could just remember
how it all got started
To see if where it ended
makes any sense at all
Do you remember how it started?
Don't hold back

do you know how far weve come
to mark these graves to come undone
to watch a star burn to the ground
an avalanche without a sound
do you see this violent dream
eclipsing those who tried to believe
now you know how far we've come
to find these graves to overcome

I will reach right into those eyes
and draw the shades
as if to stay intact
an image of abstract
And carefully, so carefully
A dream might have meant more
at one time
but now it's never spoke of again

Don't hold back
